The variety · Gesha
From Ethiopia's Gori Gesha forest
Gesha traces back to the wild Gori Gesha forest in Ethiopia and became world-famous for floral, tea-like cups. It's low-yielding and demanding to grow, which keeps great Gesha rare. This lot is grown in Colombia.

Sun-dried with the fruit on
Whole cherries dry slowly around the bean, soaking it in fruit sugars. That's where the caramel and red fruit come from, sitting on top of Gesha's natural jasmine florals.

An elegant, layered cup with jasmine on the aroma, caramel sweetness and complex red fruit through the finish. The body is light and tea-like, and the florals open up as the cup cools.
Gesha is one of the most celebrated coffee varieties in the world. It traces back to the Gori Gesha forest in Ethiopia and is famous for delicate, floral, tea-like cups. It's low-yielding and demanding to grow, so great Gesha is rare.
Choose Whole Beans if you grind at home, which keeps the delicate aromatics freshest. Choose Filter Grind for pour-over, batch brew or AeroPress. For plunger, order whole beans and grind coarse.
Use 15 g of coffee and 250 g of water at 93-96°C and aim for a 2:45-3:15 brew. Gentle, even pours keep Gesha's florals clean and delicate.

It's roasted light for filter, where its delicate florals shine. As espresso it will be bright and tea-like, and milk tends to hide its character. For flat whites and lattes, our espresso roasts are a better match.
