What's actually in the blend
Three origins, one bright and balanced espresso. Here's what those words on the bag actually mean.
Origin 1 · Colombia
Ubaque · washed process
Colombian beans bring structure and clean sweetness. The washed process removes the fruit before drying, then ferments the bean in water. It gives a crisp, clear cup and the caramel backbone of the blend.
Origin 2 · Brazil
Labareda · pulped natural process
Brazilian beans bring body and rounded sweetness. Pulped natural leaves the sticky fruit layer on while the bean dries, so the sugars soak in. It's what lets High Rider sit so comfortably in milk.
Origin 3 · Ethiopia
Hambella · grown to 1,800 m
Ethiopian beans bring the fruit. Grown high in the Guji zone, they carry the fresh berry and stone fruit character that makes High Rider taste bright and lively, especially as a straight espresso or long black.

High Rider FAQs
What does High Rider taste like?
Caramel sweetness up front, fresh berries through the middle and a ripe stone fruit finish. It's bright and lively but balanced: fruit-driven without being sour, and sweet enough to hold up in milk.
Is High Rider good for black coffee?
Yes, it's our pick for straight espresso and long blacks. The fruit and acidity are clearest without milk, and the caramel keeps it sweet rather than sharp. Start at 18-20 g in, 36-40 g out over 25-30 seconds.
Does it work in milk drinks?
It does. The caramel carries the berry notes through milk, so a flat white or latte tastes sweet and fruity rather than muddy. It also works well as filter, plunger or stovetop; just pick the matching grind.
How is it different from the Seasonal Blend?
The Seasonal Blend is milk chocolate and caramel, built for comfort and consistency. High Rider adds Ethiopian beans for a brighter, fruit-forward cup. Same 85/100 cupping score, different mood.
How fresh are the beans when they arrive?
We roast to order in our Melbourne roastery, so your beans typically ship within a day or two of roasting and arrive within 2-3 business days for most metro areas.
How does the subscription work?
